Make sure you've got your ticket for tonight's Euromillions lottery draw as the jackpot now stands at an incredible £66million. We're told that the rumours about Alistair Darling and Gordon Brown buying up tickets to try and generate some much needed revenue for the Government's coffers is totally untrue. Southampton FC supporters may well be trying to win tonights massive jackpot. We're surprised that there's not huge queues at lottery tills up and down the city. Perhaps they're all buying their tickets at The National Lottery online?
Most football clubs would gladly accept a £66million cash input but Southampton's need is currently greatest. Their club has just gone into administration (or at least the holding company has) and that means they've been relegated to League One thanks to some old duffers at The Football League and their loopy hole rule book.
The club has massive debts and a £66million win for one supporter willing enough to buy the club, would be more than enough to pay off stadium debts and buy a new team to start the long painful road back to Premiership glory. We can all but dream!
What would you do with £66million?
